Furniture Today

A unique lecture by Jeremy Broun about the designer maker revolution set against a historical backcloth of furniture dating back to the Magna Carta. A multi media presentation including video clips of interviews with makers etc.

We arrange lectures to colleges and groups on a variety of subjects

Jeremy Broun has lectured at major colleges in the UK, Ireland, Australia and Finland and at other top venues including the London Design Museum and the WOODO International Conference on the Ecological use of wood in Finland.

The public perception that old and new cannot mix , that solid wood is superior to veneer, or that Chippendale was the finest craftsman of his age are more to do with myth than fact.  The biggest myth 'they don't make it like they used to' will be rocketed into outer space by anyone  attending the lecture (or viewing the DVDs). At last a serious in depth appraisal of our valuable furniture design culture by a top practitioner.
